On April 11
Canada’s premiers are heading to Quebec City to talk climate.
SO ARE WE.
A large and family friendly march in Quebec City will send a message to our leaders to Act on Climate.
Our message is simple:
A growing consensus of the world’s scientists and energy economists agree 2/3 of all fossil fuels need to be left in the ground to stave off the worst effects of climate change. It’s time to listen.
We can act on climate or we can expand the tar sands and build new pipelines, but we cannot do both. Tar sands pipelines threaten our drinking water, our health, and our future. It’s the wrong direction.
Where the Federal Government has completely failed, many of Canada’s Premiers have taken strong steps to combat climate change. Others need to follow suit and invest in green jobs and climate protection. Together in Quebec City, we can deliver a message to our leaders that we demand action on climate.
